As a personal trainer, I see it every year - the sun arrives and routines go out the window.
I get it! Itโs completely normal!
Holidays, BBQs, heatwaves, longer eveningsโฆ it all makes it harder to stay focused.
But the truth is, this is the time when staying active makes the biggest difference.
Here are my top tips to keep your motivation (and your fitness!) going strong when the weather is nice:
๐. ๐๐๐๐ฉ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฉ.
When the days are busy and the weatherโs warm, a 30-45 minute class is all you need to stay on track. Something is always better than nothing - even a walk somewhere!
So if you canโt make class - aim to do a mini circuit for say 30 mins.
It can look something like this โฌ๏ธ
๐ช๐ฝ20 Squats
๐ช๐ฝ20 Mountain climbers
๐ช๐ฝ20 fast high knees
๐ช๐ฝ20 Star jumps
Repeat x4
๐. ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐ค.
I sell my classes in 4-week blocks for a reason - they keep you consistent and accountable. When youโve committed to the full block, youโre more likely to stick to it and the results speak for themselves.
๐. ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฌ.
You donโt have to push yourself alone. Training with a group gives you that boost of energy and motivation - plus, itโs more fun and a great social experience!

Fitness isnโt just about appearance - it lifts your mood, improves your sleep and helps you feel good inside and out.

If you miss a session, donโt stress. Get back on track at the next one. The key is showing up more often than not.
So if youโve lost a bit of motivation lately, thatโs OK itโs normal but letโs not stay there.
